There is nothing that I love more than seeing a woman stepping into her fullest expression and sharing her gifts with the world while feeling radiant, joyful, and confident.
I have found that when women are able to break free from their negative relationship with food and feel more confident in their bodies, they can focus on the things that matter the most to them! A fully embodied woman is able to show up for her family, create a career she is passionate about, and inspire everyone she comes in contact with.
I know this to be true because of my own journey.
For most of my adult life I have been held back by anxiety, depression, and chronic digestive discomfort.
I had been to all the doctors and specialists only to find more prescriptions and over the counter medications that only cover up my symptoms. By the time I was in college I was on medication for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and birth control for hormone imbalance. My intuition told me that there was something deeper going on and that these solutions couldn’t possibly be the answer.
As many people do at this point, I turned to alternative medicine. Working with nutritionists, naturopathic doctors, and acupuncturists helped me to understand my body so much better. I changed my nutrition, worked on my gut health, took supplements, and started sleeping more. My digestion started to get better, I started to get more energy, and I noticed a difference in my weight.
Even though I was feeling better, I still didn’t feel like myself. I would still experience digestive issues weekly (instead of daily) and if I’m being honest, I was still REALLY unhappy. I realized that something was missing. All of this time doctors (western and eastern) were focusing on my physical health but no one had addressed my mental health and negative thought patterns.
I was committed to finding the answers and changing the way that I felt, so I started going to seminars and diving into the personal development world. I studied Eating Psychology and Intuitive Eating along with many different techniques to reprogram my thought patterns. I started to develop a deeper connection with myself and my own spiritual practice which included a combination of yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, journaling, affirmations, gratitude practices, and reading personal development books.
For the first time in my life, I started saying nice things to myself and having more positive thoughts than negative ones.
After several months, I started to see the results I had been looking for since I began my health journey 10 years ago! My energy was elevated consistently, I rarely experienced stomach aches or bloating, and my weight stabilized without me even trying. More importantly, I started to feel GOOD emotionally and physically. Now that I was feeling better I was able to show up fully as the best version of myself in my personal relationships and take my career to a whole new level. I started to make self-honoring choices in all areas of my life because my body was healthy and I had full confidence in myself.
I now use mindset, spirituality, and nutrition practices to support women in showing up fully in their relationships, in their career, and in their health.
